This session was so fun to capture for these two! I’ve known Cassie since she was a freshman in high school (I was actually her Young Life leader for a little bit!), and it is such a joy to see the beautiful woman she has become! And Matt could not be more perfect for her. These two laughed and giggled the whole way through the session….they have so much fun together!! It’s adorable!!!

I’ve wanted to start writing blog posts when I share my images, so I started to ask my couples a few questions regarding their sessions as a way to feature them….I hope this makes these posts interesting for my readers. :) It’s such a fun way for me to get to know my brides & grooms too!

Get ready for your heart to melt!! Meet Matt & Cassie….

1. How did you feel during the session?

We were nervous that it be might be awkward having the attention completely on us, but it ended up being a really memorable experience. Once we started getting in the groove of things it felt a lot more natural and we could really be ourselves. Leigh did a really nice job of making us feel comfortable from the start, and allowing us to do things that were natural for us.

2. What was your favorite moment? What made your session special?

Some of our favorite moments were when we were able to goof off in the pictures and be ourselves. One moment in particular was when Matt was giving me a piggyback ride and spinning me around! The entire session was special to us because it was such a real reminder that we are going to spending our life together!

3. How are you planning to enjoy this time of engagement?

Although we are ecstatic for May 14th to arrive, we are enjoying this period of engagement by using it to prepare for marriage and ultimately to keep our eyes focused on God. Even with all the exciting things surrounding our engagement, we realize that without God at the center we will not experience the true joy and peace only He can bring.

4. What are you most excited for about your wedding?

The best part about our wedding day will be celebrating with all of our favorite people and honoring God for all He has done and will do in the future. We hope it will be a beautiful depiction of how Christ will return for His bride (the church), and we will be reunited with Him for eternity!

5. Matt, what is your favorite thing about Cassie?

My favorite thing about Cassie is her heart. So cliché, I know, but it’s true. She is so caring and empathetic. Cassie is constantly serving other people and putting their interests above her own. Her character has really taught me a lot about God’s character and how He cares for us as well. I am so thankful to have her by my side, and I can’t wait to see what God has in store for us.

6. Cassie, what is your favorite thing about Matt?

My favorite thing about Matt is how sincere he is. From day one I remember thinking how intentional and genuine he was. I think this comes from his love of God and how much he truly cares for the people around him.  Matt has a way of making you feel extremely cared for and valued. What a blessing that I get to marry him!!
