We have been married for four years today! We have dated and been together for eight! And I feel like we need to do one big cheers! We celebrated yesterday with a trip to Cincy to see the Braves play the Reds, a quick stop at IKEA (you know he loves me if that was apart of our day, lol), and then a late dinner out to Bakersfield where we reminisced and retold the story of how we started dating from both our perspectives (highly recommend doing that – it is pretty hilarious!).

Marriage is something to be celebrated. That has been weighing heavy on my heart this wedding season (in such a good way!). And also a reason I have cried through every ceremony we have shot this year. Weddings are so beautiful, because it is the start of a journey and commitment that will not be easy, but oh my goodness will it be beautiful.

It seems as though, and I am sure many of you feel the same way who are married or have been in long term relationships, we have experienced SO much life together. So many ups and downs, valleys and peaks. So many events and circumstances that have happened during our four years of marriage I would have never chosen, but I am so thankful for. One sweet baby boy here on earth that we get to raise together, one sweet baby boy in heaven that we can’t wait to meet. We are raising a little boy together that faces some challenges, and some days are extremely tough (more so on me), but I feel like those are the days that joy is the sweetest. That we get to cling to Jesus together and tell each other we love each other, and remind one another that he has good things for us, he has good things for Lucas, and our marriage grows stronger.

I wouldn’t want to walk with anyone through life but Benjamin. I love you deeply.
